Frank G. Staats, CPM®

Principal

 

Frank Staats has been in the commercial real estate industry for 35 years. He began his career with Hines where he was responsible for accounting and financial reporting for Hines’ Houston CBD and Chicago properties. Staats also worked at Houston Center, a 2.5 million mixed project, for 25 years where he began as Senior Property Accounting and steadily moving up in the organization  becoming General Manager/Vice President of Property Management in 1997. As General Manager of Houston Center, he was responsible for an annual operating budget of $115 million of revenue, $50 million of operating costs and $26 million of capital expenditures and tenant improvements. Mr. Staats was part of the development team for the 2002 opening of 5 Houston Center which was sold in 2005 for a record price of $286 psf with overall gain to the ownership of $25 million. 

 

In 2012, he joined Lionstone Investments to provide due diligence and property management expertise. In September 2014, Mr. Staats formed REIS Associates LLC in September 2014 to provide full service real estate services. 

 

Mr. Staats obtained his CPA and CPM designation and holds a BA in Accounting and MBA from the University of Houston.

 

He has been married to Sharon for 33 years and they have three children, Sheridan, 26, Arianna, 21, and Harrison, 15.

 

 

Debby Alaniz

Sr. Manager 

 

Deborah (Debby) Alaniz leads the accounting and financial reporting services team for REIS Associates, LLC. Debby has been in the real estate industry for 25+ years with Crescent Real Estate, CBRE, Heitman, JMB, Pinchal & Company, and Lionstone Investments. She has experience in office, retail, industrial and residential real estate. At Houston Center Debby was assistant controller over 4.2 million square feet ofmixed use development with an annual operating budget of $165 million Debby is a graduate from the University of Houston - Clear Lake with a BS in Accounting.

Debbie Patterson 

Sr. Associate 

 

Debbie Patterson is responsible for pre-acquisition due diligence, dispositions of assets, environmental remediation and regulatory closure.  

 

Prior to joining REIS, Debbie was a Senior Associate with Lionstone Investments handling similar duties. Debbie previously was a Vice President with JPMorgan Chase Bank (Chase) before leaving to join Lionstone. During her twenty-four years with Chase Debbie held positions in the Commercial Real Estate Group where she handled loan documentation review and loan closings; the Loan Management Group where she was responsible for pre-foreclosure due diligence and Managed Assets accounting and administration; and, the Appraisal Group where she served as the Environmental Officer to the Southwest Region overseeing environmental due diligence for Commercial Real Estate Loans and Managed Assets.

 

Debbie received a Bachelor of Arts in History from The University of North Texas.

 

 

Adam Raffle

Operations Analyst

 

Adam Raffle is the REIS Operations Analyst, and is responsible for managing and communicating key data as it relates to property operations. 

 

Prior to joining REIS, Adam spent nine (9) years with Hines Interests Limited Partnerships in its parking management division (WinPark), and has leveraged this experience to assist REIS with special projects and consulting services related to Parking. 

 

Adam holds the International Parking Institute’s “CAPP” designation, and is also a licensed Sales Person by the Texas Real Estate Commission.

Diana Bagley

Sr. Financial Analyst 

 

Diana Bagley is a Senior Financial Analyst with the reporting services team for REIS Associates, LLC.  Diana has been in the real estate industry for 13+ years with Crescent Real Estate, CB Richard Ellis, Cousins Properties, PM Realty Group and Lionstone Investments. She has experience in office, retail, industrial and medical real estate. Her career has covered both financial analysis and full cycle accounting while working with various assets ranging from 2 to 13 million square feet of mixed use developments located in different states from coast to coast.

Diana is a member of CREW Houston, a chapter of CREW Network, the National Network of Commercial Real Estate Women.  Also, Diana was a part of a great team in 2011 that was presented the CREW year-end award for Networking Story of the Year for your involvement with the

Re-Finance of the Fulbright Tower and 1 and 2 Houston Center.

Diana acquired her BBA in Business Management from the University Of Kentucky and her MBA with a combined focus in Finance, Accounting & Statistics from the University of Phoenix.

Thad Mai

Sr. Financial Analyst 

 

Thad Mai is a 2016 graduate of the University of Houston with a BS in Biology and Minor in Business. He started with REIS in January 2017. He has  previous experience with small retail centers and landscaping at family’s plant nursery in Pearland, TX. He is involved with the Real Estate Club at the University of Houston where he helps students find mentors in the real estate industry and maintains alumni relations.
